Drew Van Hook -On Site Manager - Trainer

We are proud to introduce Mr. Drew Van Hook.  Drew is the Manager and Head Trainer for Silver Eagle Stable, he is an American Quarter Horse Association recognized, and certified...A.Q.H.A. Professional Horseman, he lives on site at the farm.  Drew has a  history with the farm that now houses Silver Eagle Stable.  He grew up on this farm, and as a young boy he was first introduced to horses by taking full charge of the equine residents, and learning all aspects of  the horse industry.   He quickly grasped the concept of caring for the horses, knowing their quirks and dealing with the equestrian owner and the demands of running a full time facility.  Within a relatively short time Drew, excelled in  his riding skills and customer service. Drew Van Hook went on to show and compete in the show pen against many top riders with great success. Stephen DeBuc - Instructor Stephen has accumulated over 25 years of riding experience since the young age of seven. For nine years he competed as a youth rider in the New York/New Jersey area with tremendous success.  At the age of 16, Stephen began teaching riding fundamentals to competitive riders in New England.  When he was 18, he began working for a number of high level jumper trainers in Chester and Mendham New Jersey.  Stephen competed in many local and out of state shows up and down the Eastern Seaboard.  After College and a stint in the United States Army, Stephen has brought his riding talents exclusively to the Silver Eagle Stable where he provides beginner and advanced student instruction in hunter/jumper techniques.  He is passionate about horses and enjoys sharing that passion with others through teaching and riding.

Paige Keiser - Senior Instructor
Western and Hunt Seat Instructor:  Paige Keiser has been involved with horses since the age of 11.  Paige got her start at Oak Leaf Stables, now Silver Eagle Stable 14 years ago.  She has been breaking and training ever since.  She is the Nokesville 4-H Equestrian Leader as well as the head Interscholastic Equestrian Association coach for Silver Eagle.  She competed throughout her years in 4-H and at the State level 4-H horse judging competition she won first place.  She has been involved in 4-H for 14 years; 8 as an active member and the past 6 years as a club leader.  She also competes in AQHA shows all over the U.S. with her horse, Elvis.  Elvis came to Paige as an un-broke horse who not many people felt comfortable riding.  She trained him into a show horse, and within 3 months he competed at his first show in New Jersey winning an Open Green HUS class out of 24 horses.  Paige has a passion for horses and the people that ride them.  She works well with both children and adults and loves to see her students grow.  Paige graduated from George Mason University in August, 2017 with a Bachelors of Science Business Management Degree.

Rhys Drewyer - Instructor  Rhys has been around horses since the age of 8. Her background includes hunter/jumper and equitation which she has competed in successfully for over 10 years. Rhys showed up and down the east coast at the A circuit level for 5 years in several different divisions. Her major accomplishments include being awarded Best Child Rider at the Warrenton Horse Show in 2013, placing 3rd in the 2013 Gittings Horsemanship Finals 2014 and winning Reserve Champion in the Adult Pleasure and Special Hunters at the 2016 VHSA Championships. She also has experience with young hunter/jumper prospects, and teaching hunter lessons of all ages. She is also attending George Mason University with intent to graduate in Spring of 2019 with a Masters in Work and Organizational Psychology. Rhys is an active member of USEF and VHSA where she also currently shows locally.

Tom Russell- Owner
Tom Russell is the owner of the Silver Eagle Stable.  He's a retired Marine Corps Colonel and the son of an Army officer.  Tom grew up on military installations in the country and started riding in 1973, at military base stables.  His riding was interrupted - off and on with military maneuvers , college and then with deployments when he became a full time Marine. Upon retiring, Tom established a successful consulting company and has now decided to pursue something that he has enjoyed since his days in the 70's.  Tom  has shared his life and love of horses with his wife, Vicki  Russell for 28 years  - together they have three children and one granddaughter.

Tom looks forward to creating the perfect equestrian facility for people who have a love for horses, family, good company, and a desire to learn.  He looks forward to the next chapter in the equestrian ring of life.   He can be contacted via email at
