Rhys Drewyer - Instructor Rhys has been around horses since the age of 8. Her background includes hunter/jumper and equitation which she has competed in successfully for over 10 years. Rhys showed up and down the east coast at the A circuit level for 5 years in several different divisions. Her major accomplishments include being awarded Best Child Rider at the Warrenton Horse Show in 2013, placing 3rd in the 2013 Gittings Horsemanship Finals 2014 and winning Reserve Champion in the Adult Pleasure and Special Hunters at the 2016 VHSA Championships. She also has experience with young hunter/jumper prospects, and teaching hunter lessons of all ages. She is also attending George Mason University with intent to graduate in Spring of 2019 with a Masters in Work and Organizational Psychology. Rhys is an active member of USEF and VHSA where she also currently shows locally.

Drew Van Hook -On Site Manager - Trainer
We are proud to introduce Mr. Drew Van Hook. Drew is the Manager and Head Trainer for Silver Eagle Stable, he is an American Quarter Horse Association recognized, and certified... A.Q.H.A. Professional Horseman, he lives on site at the farm. Drew has a history with the farm that now houses Silver Eagle Stable. He grew up on this farm, and as a young boy he was first introduced to horses by taking full charge of the equine residents, and learning all aspects of the horse industry. He quickly grasped the concept of caring for the horses, knowing their quirks and dealing with the equestrian owner and the demands of running a full time facility. Within a relatively short time Drew, excelled in his riding skills and customer service. Drew Van Hook went on to show and compete in the show pen against many top riders with great success. Drew knew he was born to break and train horses, that lead to furthering his pursuit of all things equestrian by breaking and training horses professionally. Drew has ridden for numerous trainers - advancing his knowledge , skill and quest for perfection towards excellence in the horse industry. He has since trained hundreds of horses, and taught many students some of which have gone on to win multiple show titles, year end awards and state championships. Drew is looking forward to continuing his ongoing quest for professional leadership in the equestrian field. Paige Keiser - Senior Instructor
Western and hunt Seat-Paige Keiser has been involved with horses since the age of 11. She first learned western pleasure riding and later trained in hunter/jumper. She got her start riding at Oak Leaf Stables now Silver Eagle Stable in Nokesville, VA. She was a member of 4-H for 9 years. There she competed in many local, regional and the 4-H State Horse Show where she won multiple awards for western pleasure riding and showmanship. She also competed in the 4-H State Judging competition and won first place at the State level. She is a member of the Virginia Horse Show Association and competes in the hunter/jumper circuit.
Paige has been teaching riding lessons for the past four years. She has a passion for horses and the people that ride them. She works well with both children and adults. She is trained in both western and hunter/jumper disciplines. She is attending Northern Virginia Community College and will graduate with an Associates of Science . Next Fall, she plans to study Business at George Mason University. Paige stayed in the area because she is so actively involved with her horses and teaching that she did not want to go away to school.
Tom Russell- Owner
Tom Russell is the owner of the Silver Eagle Stable. He's a retired Marine Corps Colonel and the son of an Army officer. Tom grew up on military installations in the country and started riding in 1973, at military base stables. His riding was interrupted - off and on with military maneuvers , college and then with deployments when he became a full time Marine. Upon retiring, Tom established a successful consulting company and has now decided to pursue something that he has enjoyed since his days in the 70's. Tom has shared his life and love of horses with his wife, Vicki Russell for 28 years - together they have three children and one granddaughter.
Tom looks forward to creating the perfect equestrian facility for people who have a love for horses, family, good company, and a desire to learn.
