Silver Eagle Stable is a family-oriented, horse boarding & lesson barn in Northern Virginia, approximately a 40-minute drive from Washington, District of Columbia. The property has deep historic roots within the Commonwealth of Virginia. We are located in Nokesville (Prince William County) close to Stafford, Fauquier, Manassas, Fairfax, and many other NOVA areas. Silver Eagle Stable aims to create an equestrian facility for people who have a love for horses and a desire to learn the art of riding and how to care for horses in an unpretentious,relaxed environment.

If you are interested in boarding or lessons, please contact us for more information. Tours for prospective clients are available by appointment only. We are not open to the general public.

Horseback Riding Lessons

Silver Eagle instructors offer Adult and Youth riding lessons in Western or English Disciplines. Students may choose to focus on Hunter, Dressage, Eventing, Western Ranch Riding, Competitive Trail, or just for pleasure.

My Girl Scout troop came to Silver Eagle to work on their horseback riding badge and it was an amazing experience. Chris gave a great introduction and safety lesson, and Koko and her team were absolutely wonderful with the girls. We had a couple who were a bit nervous, but by the end, all of them felt confident on the horses, and can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a fabulous day!

Silver Eagle has been a wonderful find for me and my mare. Tammy and Chris have been overseeing the farm for several years now and are not only kind, but also hard working and so good with the horses. I don’t get out to the farm on a routine basis anymore due to work, but Tammy is always quick to call with any concerns and often sends me updates and photos/videos. My mare (OTTB) has had no trouble keeping appropriate weight while she’s been at Silver Eagle. I trust them completely, and it’s also great to have a nice big ring along with two smaller options as well. Highly recommend!

Took my 2 kids here for private lessons. They loved the experience, the coach, and the horses. Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable they took the time to answer all my dumb questionsover the phone. Super easy and convenientto book through the website they use. Really, nice facilities I might take some lessons there myself when I find time.

I take riding lessons, pay for horse training, and board at this barn. But beyond that, I just hang out and enjoy being a part of the community. Silver Eagle stables made me feel welcomed from the very first meeting. Chris and Tammy made sure to introduce me to everyone. They are the on site management that have made many improvement to the barn and property over the past few years. I love the new Hopoti app for scheduling lessons, you can instantly see when an instructor is available and book your time without any back and forth texting. There seems to be a very long review here from a guy who claims to not be disgruntled.... Yet he keeps updating his review years later..... All of his claims about broken fences or mistreatment of animals are strange to me. If you met the feeders, Bailey and Jen, you would see that they love horses more than humans. They treat them with the highest level of care. Chris is constantly working to fix fences (some broken by my horse) and improve the community. He is out 6 days a week from sunup to sundown. To say he gives his all is an understatement. If your horse is breaking fences like mine was, it's hard to blame the barn they live at for their bad behavior. Horses will be horses. My one wish is that we had a large indoor riding arena. But, money doesn't grow on trees.
